Course Description
This course presents the EPA model curriculum for lead-based paint abatement workers. Using classroom activities, demonstrations and significant hands-on training, students will learn how to recognize and control lead hazards and how to safely abate lead-based paint in both interior and exterior environments.

Who should Attend
This course is designed for people who will be working in lead-based paint abatement. This includes renovation, remodeling, demolition, structural steel work and other activities that are intended to permanently remove lead-based paint hazards.

Recommended Prerequisites
The WRLTC-OSU recommends the following prerequisites for the successful completion of this course:
  • High school graduation or GED or
  • One year experience in the building trades.
